2023 Quiz Bowl
The quiz bowl will be held from 3pm to 4pm in the JCLRC auditorium and is followed by the awards ceremony.
• Topics: Science, Current Events, Entertainment, History, Georgraphy, Business, Potpourri.
• Format: There will be 7 rounds. Each round will cover one topic above. All topics will be covered. The number of questions per round will vary and each round will run for up to 15 minutes (depending on time needed for that topic / questions). The number of questions per round will depend on the difficulty level of the questions. The exact length of time for the quiz bowl is dependent on how fast / if issues occur with scoring events. The quiz bowl will continue if scoring has not finalized before the awards ceremony is due to start. If scoring ends on time, the quiz bowl will be stopped when the awards ceremony starts.
• Schools will compete (not teams).
• Schools can select 3 students from any of their teams to participate.
• The team will be given what they need to submit answers (it must be returned after the quiz bowl is over!).
• Winning teams from third to first place will be announced at the end.
